In early 2021, my sister, Audrey, and I worked together to create a game concept for a 2D Platformer we envisioned called Dawn. That March, we suffered the loss of our uncle to liver cancer. We wanted the story of this game to follow the main character, Claide, through grief, with the player guiding them through 3 guardians of loss, culminating in an epic boss fight. However, due to other priorities and our own grieving process, we decided to put it on the backburner. I’m proud of what we created during that time, though, so I have decided to share it here. This was developed in our spare time between other projects, and we would love to revisit it someday with more direction.
